How to choose a travel CRM
Buy the system that matches how you quote and operate, not the longest feature list. Use this checklist in demos — including a TravNex demo.
What should you evaluate?
Evaluate lead capture, quotation quality, communication channel (often WhatsApp), whether operations and accounts are in the same product, tax handling, user limits, and who will implement the system.
Checklist
- Quote reality: Can a consultant produce the PDF you actually send? See what TravNex quoting includes.
- Channel reality: If clients live on WhatsApp, ask whether the vendor uses the official API. TravNex does — details.
- After the sale: If you need vouchers and supplier status, CRM-only tools will push you back to Excel. Check operations.
- Tax and currency: Indian agencies should ask about GST on quotes and invoices.
- Inventory: Live hotel/flight APIs are valuable only if you will contract them. Otherwise contracted rates in ops may matter more.
- Users and limits: Map headcount to plan limits.
- Proof: Ignore star ratings without named sources. This site does not publish fabricated scores.
Questions to ask any vendor
What is not in the base fee? Who owns Meta WABA setup? What happens to data if you leave? Can you white-label client documents? TravNex answers some of these on product pages; the rest belong in a written proposal.
Frequently asked questions
If your core artefact is a travel quotation and a booking file, start with travel-native software. If you only manage corporate relationships, a generic CRM can be enough. Compare using the travel CRM vs generic CRM page.
